Q:Does this mean no more shows for Corvx de Timor? Any shows coming for the new thing then?
I haven’t had a booking offer in over a year at this point. No one was really knocking down my door to book Corvx de Timor - so I have no intentions right now to ever play live with Ice Out.
Q:Well then what happens to the EP you were working on?
Nothing. I scrapped it and started working on the tracks for the new project.
My new new. If you liked Corvx de Timor, at least a 39% chance you may like this too.
My new Tumblr for my new musical identity.
I will not be removing the Corvx de Timor Tumblr but will be using it significantly less. If you liked what I did here, either musically or otherwise, please pick up at the new Tumblr. Thanks!
Q:Why did you change your name?
It’s not a name change. “Ice Out” is a completely different project. I’m ending Corvx de Timor and will be solely producing music as Ice Out from now on.
I think Corvx de Timor had a compelling story arc from “Diamond Center” up through “Return of the Night Terror” and trying to do much else will dilute what I accomplished.
I created Corvx de Timor when I was coming off some really horrible times in my life. 3 years later I’m past all of that and the vibe of my life and what I’m writing is different enough I felt it was time to end one project and begin another.
I’m submitting the final track as Corvx de Timor to the upcoming Pale Noir compilation “Waves In Compendium”. It’s not a decision I’ve taken lightly and something I’ve been pondering since sending the files for ‘Return of the Night Terror’ to Phantasma Disques in November of last year.
If you want a happy ending, that depends, of course, on where you stop your story.
